While some roles, such as Religion teaching positions, do require candidates to be Catholic, being Catholic is not essential for all teaching positions. Teachers generally need to hold or obtain the appropriate state teaching license. They must complete a background check, Safe Parish training, and onboarding requirements to be eligible to teach in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. There are multiple pathways to licensure, and not all start with a traditional education degree.
